PointBuilder provides intelligent point selection and exporting tools to allow AutoCAD/ Autodesk® created objects to be exported to the JOB-Site Solutions hardware/ Field Layout system. Automated point selection and point export tools are available as well as several easy-to-use manual selection tools for selection of Field Layout points for common Field points such as hanger locations, sleeve locations, wall and floor penetration locations and equipment pad locations. PointBuilder was specifically created for the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) industry to create and extract 2D or 3D CAD points from AutoCAD, AutoCAD-MEP and Revit-MEP. PointBuilder utilizes the full Trimble-MEP developers’ kit to maximize field accuracy and productivity with Trimble MEP software.
With PointBuilder, Points can be created by adding them to the CAD files. Additionally, PointBuilder simplifies and automates the process of extracting points with advanced filters commonly used in MEP CAD files such as AutoCAD Blocks and AutoCAD MEP MVParts. PointBuilder can also extract lines and create field layout point for the change of direction or end point of an AutoCAD Line, Polyline or 3D Polyline.
