JOB−Site Solutions provides a round trip
connectivity of data from the office to the field
personnel and back. JOB−Site connects AutoCAD®
base CAD−Duct and CAD−Mech, the industry’s
most widely used design tools to Trimble MEP, the
industry’s leader in total station hardware and
software. The ruggedized hand-held unit works in
conjunction with the Trimble SPS610 Robotic total
station to deliver locations of hanger and penetration
data to the field and provide up to the minute field
changes as modifications are taking place.
CAD−Duct and CAD−Mech provide rich, accurate
data content for locating items that pass from floor to
floor and for items that hang from the underside of a
floor such as pipe, duct, and electrical hangers.
Trimble MEP provides the job site hardware. CAD−Duct and CAD−Mech automatically produce
3D hangers and reports for estimating, purchasing
and pre-fabrication of hanger assemblies.
JOB−Site Solutions eliminates the need for
contractors to produce costly dimensioned paper
layout drawings and sleeve/canning sheet.
CAD−Duct and CAD−Mech creates a digital plan
with the items to be located along with the X, Y, Z
coordinates for each. No tape measures. No paper
drawings. No coffee stained marked up as-built
drawing. Trimble MEP is a one-person operation that
saves field labor and increase installation accuracy.
