HVAC Duct Estimating (Onscreen, Digitized or Mouse Take-Off)
EST-Duct is a 32-bit Microsoft Windows' based Ductwork estimating program that is used to quickly prepare bids. The program is a complete estimating solution in it's own right, but at the same time it has been developed in conjunction with our CAM-Duct and CAD-Duct systems to enable integration. EST-Duct uses real fittings to generate accurate material prices, real shop fabrication time and field installation cost. EST-Duct uses the latest technology for data input including: Mouse/Keyboard, GTCO Digitizer, GTCO Smart Menu, Palm PDA, Autodesk® CAD-Duct or any combination. EST-Duct provides takeoff speeds of up to five times faster than hand takeoff and calculation.

The program is a complete estimating solution in it's own right, but at the same time it has been developed in conjunction with our CAM-Duct and CAD-Duct systems to enable integration of the 3 services if required. As such, it uses real fittings to generate accurate prices based on material content, workshop fabrication time and site installation time where applicable. All 'bought out' products (round duct, grilles, dampers, etc.) are handled by a flexible price list structure with import/export facilities to many industry suppliers. The flexibility of the program enables the system to calculate prices for an infinite range of products. Estimate entry is specification driven for speed and can be made using keyboard & mouse, Digitizer, or Palm OS PDA. Summary screens allow for manipulation of profit margins, overheads & item rates to produce the desired total bid price. Surveying is included as standard to record all future modifications and amendments made to a contract.
