TSI, a rapidly growing software company, is looking for an Electrical CAD Software Product Manager to lead the product development, marketing, and configuration of CAD-Elect for North American and International markets. You will work with Sales, Development, Support and Training staff to expand the market penetration of these new Electrical software solutions to electrical contractors. You will employ your CAD experience to better understand the market need and to work with the Development and Implementation teams to profitably meet that need.
Tasks essential to this position include:
- Evaluating market need and defining growth areas for new product features and data content and configuration
- Work hands-on with the programs to define standard configuration data sets
- Grow the products penetration in the electrical market
- Work with the EST and other Product Managers to ensure seamless integration for design, estimating, detailing, and fabrication
- Communicate customer needs to the development team
- Provide ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the work week
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years Electrical CAD work experience
- 3-5 years of technical support and/or training experience
Necessary skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with computer estimating systems for HVAC and/or Mechanical/Plumbing
- Extensive computer expertise and the ability to creatively solve problems
- Ability to work independently from home office
- Ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment
- Ability to define a Market need and provide a profitable solution
- Ability to effectively handle multiple critical tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate to senior management
- Ability to quickly understand complex problems and develop a resolution strategy
